The Teversal Manor Room was originally bequeathed by The Countess Carnarvon the Lady Elizabeth, to the local villagers, being transferred to the Teversal Parish Council in 1929. On the dissolution of the Parish Council it was taken over by the Sutton-in-Ashfield Urban District Council.
Eventually being in much need of repair and becoming unsafe the Manor Room, a Grade 2 listed building, was closed in May 2001. However since then with the valued help from the Ashfield District Council and the support of the local inhabitants a successful bid was made for a lottery grant to refurbish it, being restored in the style of one of its former uses, a late Victorian school house.
We now have a delightful facility managed by a committee of local people.
The Manor Room consists of a single meeting room and a separate kitchen area, can now be hired for all social events, wedding receptions, family parties, conferences, seminars.
Hired by the hour, an additional charge is made only if any cleaning or repairs have to be carried out after any event.
Additional services, event management and audio visual equipment are available please ask.

We are sorry to say that a party event damaged the floor with the use of "party poppers". This led to the closure of the Teversal Manor Room for a week for the floor to be repaired at great expense. We therefore regretfully must ban the use of these "party poppers" at this venue in the future.
